The basic OR gate circuit consists of two or more input terminals and a single output terminal. Each input signal is connected to a diode, and the diodes are connected in parallel to the output terminal. The output terminal is connected to a resistor and to the positive supply voltage, and a second resistor is connected between the output terminal and ground. When any of the input signals is high, current flows through the corresponding diode and into the output terminal, pulling the output voltage high.
